Did you ever talk to Ed about his approach to soloing? Revisiting a lot of these albums since October and learning a lot of the solos on guitar (especially the first album) seems that he has a natural approach to improvising similar to a jazz musician...on "I'm The One" you see him switching keys throughout his solo and even as simplistic as outlining triads on "Runnin' With the Devil." Could this possibly been an influence from his dad?
