Grand Wazoo 50th Anniversary Tour. Waiting hopefully

Margaret L.

I agree about doing a Grand Wazoo concert!

Trying to reply to ERIC C's reply to my comment, but there is no reply button there. Here, ERIC C, is my reply: I am in Oregon. That should explain everything. Also, I clicked edit on my own comment, but couldn't figure out how to take the duplicate photos down. Oh well, they are beutiful, no harm done. The moderator can take down the duoes. And, anyway, should I save you a license plate? - Glen W. (in Oregon) PS I took ALL of my medication that morning and every morning.

Dweezil,

Is there anyway you can tour this year if you got some financial help from a lot of your fans or would if be still to costly?

Steve

Dweezil

Hi Steve,

Thanks for reaching out. Touring is still problematic at this time for many logistical reasons. I'll definitely keep everyone posted on our future tour dates. Best, DZ

If you went on tour all the members of the band could do workshops at one venue. You wouldn't have to rent it becuase a fan would volunteer the space. And you wouldn't have to stay at hotels cuz you could crash with fans. So you could do 2 shows in each city, take a few days off to hang out, and then do worksops. You would only need one venue for the workshops cuz you would take turns. Like, 2 days for you, two days for Shiela, etc. Plus, an autogrph/merch party perhaps with a movie viewing where you pause the movie to make comments. Here in oregon you could do Ashland, Eugene, Salem, (near where I live) Portland, Bend and maybe Vancouver (Washington) and Seattle in one fell swoop before going down to California. If you released Live In The Moment 3, just another collection of solos that you already have, people would definately buy that disc, so that's more money. Hey btw, I saw 2 of your Hot Rats shows. I know its tough, but what about doing a Wakajawaka tour? I would sheeeet m'drawerz to see that!! Its truly the best Jazz album ever ever made by anyone in History.  Some people are more into Hot Rats and WakaJawakah type tunes, and some are more into Sheik YerBouti and Joe's Garage type tunes. Why not choose one of each and do them together i.e. Wakajawaka/ Shiek YerBouti - that would be the first set, and then play Zomby Woof 10 times for the second set (or, like twice, and then I will let you pick the rest of the second set, as long as it includes City of Tiny Lites & Son of Orange County/Trouble, which is very appropriate for this time period/apocolypse.) Encore: double speed Florintine Pogen > Stairway To Heaven > Whipping Post > PoJama People > Sofa. The encores, excpept for Florentine Pogen, could be done with guest musicians and vocalists from each city. Oh, and if you use my idea, I get to sing Zomby Woof in Oregon.  I would be a great manager.

Yo glen love ur post. Did you forget to take your medication this morning?

I'm still hanging on to my ticket

Doug M.

Hey Dweezil, I've been to many of your concerts, love them all. Then the Hot Rats tour started, I couldn't wait for the Milwaukee show, I got my tickets in December. Then this damn pandemic started and the show was cancelled.  I still have tickets and was hoping it would be re-scheduled. That has not happen yet. Any word on that ? I'm self employed also, I'm in the screen printing bus. at home. Please come to Milwaukee or close to it soon, thanks for your time.

Eric C.

Hi Dweezil,

i was at the paramount show shortly before we all went on lockdown. There was an ominous feel to the VIP sound check party. You pre-signed the posters and weren’t your usual handshaking self. You knew what was coming and put on a hell of a performance. I just want to say thank you, and I am looking forward to your new projects until we meet again.

'Live Concert Specials (the equivalent of DVDs) from years of filmed shows' : I'm drooling right now : excellent news.Enough with the crappy youtube 'shows'.Thanks Dweezil.

Hi Dweezil,

I've often attended your concerts either in Belgium or The Netherlands in the past few years and I sincerely hope tot be able to do that again in 2022! Unfortunately I don't get excited when digital music etc. is offered. I Still and always will be attached to the psychical products, like CDs and Vinyl. I have bought all music offered by the Zappa Trust so far an will continue to do that in the future. So, I was wondering whether you have actually decided to give up on physcial future releases. if that is the case, I feel that's a pity. Success though with your sound laboratery!

Kind regards from Belgium.

Gregg K.

Thanks for doing this.

It's a hard way but I think that this is the only option to have controll over your content. I assume, you will still send notifications via Twitter, because that may help to convince other fans to subscribe here :)

Vegetable, (Call Any?)

Just FANTASTIC Deweez! I can feel the stoke just reading your post... It's simply brilliant and cutting edge!
